Dr Ruth Badru is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of East Anglia.  

Ruth holds a Ph.D. in Economics and an MSc. (Hons.) in Business and Financial Economics.

Her current research projects are mainly in the areas of Macroeconomics, Applied Econometrics and Quantitative Methods, Public Finance and Feminist Political Economy.  

She has taught modules/courses in these and other areas of economics at all levels. Ruth’s current research is focused on the empirical evaluation of the impact of gender inequality on meso and macroeconomic outcomes.

Outside of academia, she is currently acting as a research/policy consultant for both private and public sector stakeholders in Nigeria
